Racing goes ahead

Racing goes ahead for Miss Wachit and Jack Sharp

Sunday 19th January saw the racing club’s Jack Sharp, and bonus horse, Miss Wachit, head to Friars Haugh for their first race of the season.

Miss Wachit, ridden by Miss. R. Duffy, came a respectable 6th in the 3 mile conditions (level 3) for grass roots riders, they went off very hard early on and she struggled for speed but she never gave up and although she will come on for the run we were very happy with her and looking forward to running her on better ground which should help her travel better

Jack Sharp, made his pointing debut after 3 years away from racing, ridden by P. Barlow in the 3m Conditions (level 3) race and pulled up with half a circuit to go. He jumped very impressively and travelled strongly until getting tired 4 fences from home, he will come on for the run and looks to be a very nice horse going forward
