Meet the Team

We are a very small team, but pride ourselves in quality with a huge amount of experience which is used in many different ways in order to ensure the horses receive the very best of care from someone who has in depth knowledge of what the horse requires.

  • Trainer and Jockey

Ross’ passion for riding started at a young age and his racing  career wasn’t far behind. His first race was pony racing in 2007 on his 13.2hh pony, Cherry. From this point onwards it was clear racing would play a big part in Ross’s life. Upon completing school Ross attended The British Racing School in 2010 to complete his NVQ Level 2 in race horse care, Ross went on to attain his Amateur Jockey Licence and ride for multiple well-known trainers with 50 rides, 14 of these rides placing. When COVID-19 hit, amateur racing was stopped due to guidelines in place, Ross made the decision to step away from amateur racing to focus on training and riding point-to-point horses. Throughout his Point to Point career Ross has ran in 345 races, winning 22 of these and placing in a further 110 races and is looking forward to the upcoming season.

  • Racing Club Manager & Rider

Jess is a successful dressage rider having competed to Elementary and schooled horses at Grand Prix. She also spends many hours teaching and was very new to Racing when she met Ross in March 2023. Since then she has become heavily involved in the business and now helps Ross with the exercising of the horses, and is thoroughly enjoying her time in the saddle. At races she can be found catching up with club members and in the parade ring leading up horses for Ross to ride and regularly winning turnout. Jess has a keen interest in maximising the horses performance and due to this spends lots of time researching and working with feed and supplement companies as well as the vets, physio and farrier.

  • Brand Ambassador & Rider

Emily was first introduced to racing at 7 months old and sat on her first pony at 2 year old. As soon as she got the buzz for racing, she decided she wanted to be jockey. Emily is from Peebles, and is often seen riding her pony before school. She is actively involved in the racing club and helps with general yard work, preparing for the races and even helps cool off the horses with Ross.
