Friars Haugh

Good day for Tweeddale Racing at Friars Haugh, unfortunately we had no runners ourselves, however, Ross took the ride of She Is The Enemny (Spice). Spice is a 7 year old mare from Ireland who hadn’t ran in a race until Friars Haugh Point to Point, she is owned and trained by Norman Sanderson who felt she was training well and had high hopes for a good run.

She travelled and jumped well and was very much leading the race coming to three out, unfortunately she started to loose momentum and energy and ended up finishing a respectable 4th. To say this was her first race we were all very happy with her performance. We all look forward to watching this young mare progress.

It was also the debut outing for Tweeddale Racing so it was great to see our logo on show in the parade ring and flyers around the track.

We now look forward to Askham Bryan at the weekend where we hope to run our own Inviction.
